Troy Donahue (January 27, 1936 – September 2, 2001) was an American actor and teen idol of the late 1950s and early 1960s. He's primarily remembered for his roles in several popular Warner Bros. films and television series.
Early Life and Career: Born Merle Johnson Jr. in New York City, he adopted the stage name Troy Donahue. His early career included appearances in minor roles until he landed a contract with Warner Bros.
